No, I’m not getting married. But I do think weddings are a really special occasion that deserve that touch of personalisation and what better way than to do some wedding DIY?

Green Wedding Shoes flower comb

Who pays for the bridesmaids and flower girl’s outfits? Now that can be a contentious issue 🙂 Personally, I think if you’re asking them to wear specific outfits, it’s only polite to bear the cost. But wedding expenses can pile up, so why not DIY as much of it as you can? These flower combs look just as good as any bought in a shop 🙂 Full tutorial and photo credit on

Tikkido’s flower seating card tutorial

This is so pretty! Personally, I’d use a Sharpie- my new favourite DIY tool- or some watercolour ink and brush the sides of the flowers to give it more pop. And I think a cursive calligraphy for the name would be even wedding-ier 🙂 For the full tutorial and photo credit, please check out:

Weddings can be just a little too girly, so include the guys with this car jar wedding favour. Would be great with sweets or potpourri inside! (OK still very girly… :P) For full tutorial and full credit, you know where to go:

Consumer Craft’s wedding party favour box

Glass jars look super DIY-ed but they aren’t that cheap and no one eats that many Guu desserts (which come in these super handy glass containers). So if you’re trying to keep the budget down, why not try this paper box favour? Paper boxes are SOOO cheap but these look really upmarket 🙂 For the full tutorial and photo rights, please go to
