One of my favourite things about DIY-ing is seeing how 2 different people can interpret the same theme, or materials, in vastly different ways. Which is 1 of the reasons I love collaborating with my fellow bloggers! So I was really excited when the amazing Emily of Coffee No Filter agreed to work on a rainbow DIY with me. Little did we realise that we’d both end up making rainbow necklaces, specifically! 🙂 To check out Emily’s awesome tutorial, do check her blog out. (To be specific, I love, love, love this thumb tack wall art DIY!!)

If you’ve visited my blog before, you may have noticed that I’m a big fan of easy DIYs, so here is another no- tools (other than glue and scissors) DIY which only took me 1 minute (+ drying time)

All you need are:

  • 3 different lengths of pompoms, in different colours- keep in mind that the shortest length should be long enough to wind round your neck.
  • Glue
  • A clasp which allows you to glue the threads in

Step 1

Apply glue to the ends of 1 of the pompom threads and stuff it into the end of the clasp. Repeat with the other 2 pompoms.

Now repeat with the other ends of the pompoms, for the other end of the clasp. Leave to dry.

Some sunscreen, a hat and less than 24 hours later, you’re ready to hit the beach in the height of summer style. Sunflowers optional.

Best part? Since this necklace is 99% fabric, you don’t even have to worry about it getting wet by the pool or on the beach!

So cute! I love how playful, light, and airy this looks. Perfect for those hot summer days when you don’t really want heavy jewelry around your neck, but still want to look put together and chic! X
