One of the best things about blogging is getting to know other bloggers with similar interests. Evija of From Evija with Love is a blogger who I got to know through Facebook- not only does she have the cutest blog, her personal story is also super interesting so be sure to hop on over here to check it out! 🙂 I was really excited when she expressed interest in my DIY blogger collaboration project in which a theme is selected and we both work independently on a DIY based on that theme, then share our creations. It’s super fun to see how different people can come up with such different- or sometimes similar!- projects! For example, for a previous collaboration, Emily of Coffe No Filter Blog & I agreed on a rainbow DIY- and both ended up creating rainbow, textile based necklaces!! Lol. If you want to see what we made, head over to here. Other cooperative DIYs include an upcycled denim project with Sheri of Refashionista and a tassel DIY with Ntina of Happy Girly Crafty!
For this collaboration, Evija & I decided to base it on Marbling and here is what Evija created. I’ve had the
plainest most business like iPhone case forever (my Dad chose it!) so I finally decided to give it an update with a marble makeover.
All you need is:
- a phone case
- some marble paper
- Nothing else!
Place the marble paper over the case and trim to size. Make sure you don’t cover the eyehole for the camera! When all the edges are neat, line it up with the side of the phone case and stick on. The best thing is the marble paper comes off easily if you align it wrongly, so have no fear.
What do you think of my new phone? 🙂
PS There’s no limit to what you can do with marble contact paper! I even gave my old dining table a makeover!
My kitchen: before (The colour of the wood is quite yellow under some light so I didn’t really like it)
Some marble paper later, it looks like the £3000 marble tulip table I saw at twentytwentyone on Upper Street 😛
