At SGD$300 for 40ml (price as of 2012), this cream is not cheap. But anyone who’s suffered from bad skin (like me!) will tell you that good skin is worth the investment. So if this cream can deliver, why not? First let’s see what it promises:
– “revives skin’s youthful look by lifting the cheeks and jaw line”
– “helps improve laugh lines”
– “reduce… deep wrinkles, dullness, dark spots and yelling”

“” is the information I have lifted from the Shiseido website. I suffer from combination skin (which is dehydrated underneath) & terrible laugh lines, despite being in my early 30s, so if this cream works, it will be a Godsend 🙂

I’ve been using the cream for 9 days now and the first thing that comes to mind when reviewing it is “Boy is this cream thick!” According to a Her world advertorial, the cream is supposed to be easy to apply and not thick. Urm, wrong and wrong. It doesn’t feel thick in the jar but it doesn’t spread easily onto the skin. And 3 hours after application (half the time in AC and half out), the cream still sits on my skin (stickily!) without feeling 100% absorbed.

Maybe I should try a thinner layer? 1 much, much thinner layer and 1 hour in an AC room later, the cream felt much better. (So I guess a pro would be that a bottle can go a long way!)

I applied the cream along my jawline only and you can sort of see a little glow

On the plus side, my skin doesn’t look too oily with the cream applied. It definitely doesn’t look as matt as usual but I guess the sheen could pass off as looking dewy instead of sticky.
On the minus side, it didn’t break me out, but I started developing white heads on my forehead after using this cream for a week or so. Not really a good look and a potential disaster if they start inflaming into zits!

My laugh/ frown lines also look much the same as usual… 2 of my friends (1 in her 40s and 1 in her 60s) have been using this complete range for the last year but I’ve not noticed any improvement to their skin so sadly I’m going to have to say no to using this cream again 🙁 🙁 🙁

If you have dehydrated-combination skin, I would highly recommend the Dr Sebagh High Maintenance Cream (links to review) instead. When I was using it, I received so many compliments on how good my skin was! (And it’s cheaper too!) It doesn’t help with laugh lines but I’ve not found anything that does yet 🙂

Alternatively, if you don’t mind busying separate day and night creams, the Ageloc series by NuSkin ( review here) is also very good!

Hi Nina, it could depend on where you are based? I got this cream from KL, Malaysia (Pavilion Mall) last year 🙂
