I was surfing Pinterest when I saw these amazing silver geometric earrings by Ute Deker. Unfortunately they were sculpted from silver, which is something I don’t do much. And much as I like supporting designer makers, they were several hundred quid, which is a little beyond my budget at the moment. So I saved the pin but didn’t think further about it till I was crafting yesterday and found a bunch of silvery cord- hope you like this interpretation as much as I do! πŸ™‚

What you need

2 cords- same length if you want identical earrings or different lengths if you are hopping on the asymmetric trend

2 Ribbon Clasp holders

2 jump rings

2 earring hooks

Pliers

Step 1

Tie knots randomly into the cords.

Step 2

Use the pliers to flatten the ribbon clasp over the 2 ends of 1 cord

Repeat for the other side

Step 3

Use the pliers to open the jump ring. Slide the ribbon clasp and 1 ear hook through then close the ring.

Repeat for the other side.

This pair has now gone to a good home in Surrey πŸ™‚ For a matching bracelet, check out this Bottega Venetta inspired bracelet DIYΒ or this Balmain statement cuff tutorial
