What’s your favourite social media platform? For May 2017, 7 of us are showing how we upcycle something we got from a thrift store 🙂 I didn’t have time to pop down to the shops, but luckily, like any good crafter, I always have a stash of supplies on hand and I had a pile of jewelry I’d previously thrift-ed on hand. So today’s DIY is how to upcycle a pair of vintage earrings 🙂

The possibilities are really endless! But I didn’t want to do the usual- turn it into a necklace, a brooch, wall art or beautify a photo frame. So I had a little think, a little look around my house, and decided to use them to upcycle a pair of old shoes (or new shoes, since they’ve actually never been worn :P)

Best of all? They’re completely reversible and require NO DIY skills at all 🙂
What you need

Old pair of clip earrings

Pair of shoes

Step 1

Open the clip and clip it onto the front of the shoe. Do the same for the other side.
